Rhodes Attractions

Rhodes is a special treasure of Greek islands. It has been a very attractive place for tourism from the 19th century. The island is close to Turkey on the Aegean Sea. The island is easily accessible from the Diagoras International Airport. Many cruises stop here and it is possible to visit nearby islands and Turkey by ferry. The climate is dominantly Mediterranean with little or no rainfall during the summer. The best time to visit is from May to September, but be prepared for the heat. The road network on the island is new and paved so renting a car is a good option. Guided tours can take you to most places as well but public transport is not recommended. Hotels and apartments are the best choices of accommodation available.
