The second-largest city in Cyprus, Limassol is a Greek resort town situated on Akrotiri Bay between the ancient towns of Kourion and Amathus. Kolossi Castle: This palace stood the attack of Mameluke and Genoese invaders and today relics of the central keep, a sugarcane factory, and a basilica are seen here. The fireplaces and walls are covered by the Fleur-de-lys symbols and a magnificent painting of the crucifixion is seen in the entrance of the hall of the keep.

Kykkos Monastery: This is one of the main attractions of Limassol, Cyprus and it is here you will find the statue of the Virgin Mary that is said to have shed tears for a whole month. This is the wealthiest monastery in Cyprus and was built in 1092

Aphrodite, Herculues, and Adonis: These are the remains of the hilltop fortress Acropolis, the temples of the ancient gods--Adonis, Hercules, and Aphrodite--and the main market place, the Agora. In the same location, you will also find the remains of the later civilization like the Christian Basilica, a Roman bath house, and a marble column of intricate spiral pattern.
