WHAT TO DO AND WHAT TO SEE IN DUBROVNIK CROATIA



Dubrovnik Croatia, is one of the most beautiful cities of this country. No wonder why so many famous people from the world of show business come here to spend their holidays. This is a city with a rich history, with very generous people who live there, and with a great geographic location. Not to forget to mention that Dubrovnik is protected by UNESCO since 1979. This is enough to say how amazing this city is.

Some of the biggest attractions of this city are – Bokar Fort, a place from where the city gates have been defended, Buza gate, Bell Tower in the center of the town, the City Guard Building and its baroque facade which was built in 15th century as the Admirals residence, the famous Dubrovnik Ramparts as one of the most beautiful fortification monuments in the world, Minceta Fort, the main street Stradun, Revelin Fort, Sponza Palace, the famous St Johns Fort, The Rectors Palace and many other monuments.

The most popular beaches in Dubrovnik are Sunj, Copacabana, or if you like naturist beaches, you shouldn’t miss the Lokrum beach situated on the small island near Dubrovnik. If you dare, you can even rent a boat and raw until the island.
Elafite Islands are other great place to visit while on your holidays in Dubrovnik, Croatia. This is an island where you can see untouched oases, and on your way to there you can even visit Sipan, Lopud and Kolocep Islands as well. All of these places offer something interesting to see.

Don't miss out the oysters of Mali Ston Bay, figs dried on the sun, flower liqueurs, or some of their famous wines such as red wines of Peljesac, or white wines from Korcula Island. And when going back from your holidays, take some souvenirs, some Dubrovnik jewelry, since the goldsmith trade exists in this city since 13th century. In Dubrovnik, some goldsmith stores still make their jewelry in an old fashioned way.
